Chinese GO! Junior app for iPhone and iPad

Chinese GO! is an educational mobile app developed to build students’ interest in acquiring key vocabulary and content to improve their communication proficiency in Chinese Language. The app is conceptualized and designed by Chinese teachers from a local Secondary School, it aims to help students in learning Chinese Language through a fun and targeted way.

Chinese GO! Junior consists of 2 learning modules (Vocabulary Module and Suggestion Module) as well as 2 Assessment modules ( Quiz & Peer Challenge). The key vocabulary is aligned to the common Oral Practice Topics in Secondary School. Learners will access the learning module to learn decks of vocabulary through thematic topics and apply their learning by attempting the assessment modules. Learners will gain points for every correct attempt in their quiz module. These points help them to level up their avatars for evolution. The suggestion module allows learners to string up suggestions with the assigned template and key vocabularies; this will help them to practice in context. All the content for the learning and assessment module is supported with accompanying audio clip that complements the students’ learning.

Other features like Peer Challenge (challenge their friends in real time) and Scoreboard system (tabulate ranking by class and individual) will fuel the learners’ motivation through friendly competitions. Students can also redeem gifts for themselves or their friends with the Gift Shop feature.Report Card tracks the learner’s process and a personal vocabulary list comprising of the vocabulary that the learners attempted wrongly 50% of the time can be consolidated.
Vocabulary Module and Quiz Module will be released in Phase 1 while the rest of the functions/Module will be released in Phase 2.
